Looks like I need to remove the carburetor & exhaust manifold
to adjust valves. Is that correct?
- With an engine
on my work bench, at eye level, with classical music playing in
the background, I routinely check valves without removing either
of these components; but other than with center cabin engines
(like Catalina 30's, Tartans, Ericson 35's, etc.), I can't really
imagine having the room to access the valve chamber without (at
least) removing the carburetor. - Updated: January 10, 2004
