My A4 is overcharging; showing 16-18V, and 30-35amps at 1500rpm.
Pending replacement of regulator for my Prestolite/Motorola 12N600 Type P, 12v 51 amp) with internal regulator (Prestolite 8RG2010A), which would you recomend:
- Operate for short periods (5 min. max) at 16-18V
- Disconnect altenator (at regulator output) and operate for short periods (5 min max) without an alternator.
Is a replacement regulator available from Moyer?
