View Full Version : pin hole in fuel line (maybe)

We have an Atomic 4 on an E30+ in Homer Alaska that runs fine once it starts. And it usually starts fine if it hasn't sat too long without being run (not more than 2 weeks or so). If it has sat longer the fuel system has to be bled all the way up to the intake before it will start. The problem seems to be exasperated by colder weather. Of course the obvious answer would be air leaking into the fuel line. There is no sign of fuel leaking out anywhere no matter how long it sits and we even tried to pressurize the fuel lines and pump to check for a pin hole and there were no leaks after nearly blowing the cap off or the fuel filter housing. Any ideas where the air could be coming from?

Did you happen to see Don's tech tip on fuel-related shutdowns (http://www.moyermarine.com/shutdowns.htm)?

Hope this helps.
