We're contemplating an Atomic 4 workshop in the Northeast later this year, probably on the north shore of Long Island Sound. If you're interested, or would like to propose an alternative location, please let us know.

Here's the agenda (http://www.moyermarine.com/agenda.pdf).

Best regards,

Don Moyer

I live on the Connecticut shoreline and would be interested in attending your workshop. The northshore of L.I. would be great if your site was either near one of the ferry ports (Orient Point or Port Jefferson) or an easily used port like Greenport. This makes it easy for the rest of New England to get there.
Any idea of when you might be holding this event?
Thanks
Sandy

Sandy,

Thank you for your suggestions regarding location for our workshop. To this point, we have not had many responses to our inquiry. We'll let you know our schedule, as soon as we get more information regarding possible attendance.

Thanks again,

Don Moyer

I'd be interested in a workshop in the Northeast. I live in NJ and would be willing to travel to LI.
Of course NJ or NYC would be preferable

Jim,

Thanks for your check-in regarding our Atomic 4 workshop schedule. We'll let you know if we have the opportunity to schedule on the north shore of Long Island. We're currently considering a workshop here in the Chestertown Maryland area in the fall.

I would be interested in attending such a workshop, though I would have to fly in from the West Coast to do so.

Thank you for your interest in our workshops. We'll be posting an announcement in a few months, to announce the date and place of our fall workshop.

Don,

I would be more than interested in attending a workshop here in the northeast. From RI the easiest way to LI is the Orient Point Ferry out of New London, CT.

However, as nice a spot as Long Island may be, don't rule out little Rhode Island as a potential site. We are half way between New York City and Boston. We have trains, planes and multiple highways that can get you here with little hassle.

Keep us posted.

I'd also love to attend. The trip to LI is a bit rough, though, from the boston area (particularly for a single day).

CT makes it a bit more accessible for the other 3/4 of New England... RI is even better. ;-)

Would attend in either LI or CT, Ct would be first choice

I would prefer a CT location, but LI is fine if it's near a ferry. Have you posted a price? Also, reading your agenda, I'm wondering what level of expertise this workshop is written for. I consider my experience level to be moderate.

I'm a little late to the conversation, but I hope this idea hasn't fallen by the wayside. I'm certainly interested.

Don, if you're still searching for a workshop venue, I'd like to offer my facility in Branford CT (about ten miles east of New Haven on I-95). I don't know what your criteria are in terms of hands-on engine work space vs "chalk talk" space, number of attendees, or anything like that, so my place may or may not be suitable. Just thought I'd send up a flag.

Don, I am seriously considering attending the Chestertown workshop although its a 4 hour drive, unless you are considering a workshop closer to Long Island later. Is there a hotel in the area? regards Nick

Nick,

We have not given up on a workshop on Long Island (or more likely on the northern shore of Long Island), but to this point we have not made any definite plans to do so. Our inquiry regarding interest for our arranging such a workshop was mildly encouraging, but the expenses of taking our workshop - as presented in Chestertown - on the road, are such that we'd need a firm commitment from at least 50 people before we could feel comfortable in publishing a firm price and moving forward. To this point it doesn't appear that those numbers are there.

In the meantime, if you call Brenda, she can forward you the list of local accommodations that we provide for Chestertown attendees for your consideration.

Assuming the survey I have scheduled for Monday goes well, a sail from CT to LI would be great! Also, since I live in PA, a Maryland workshop would work, too.

Thanks.

I'm in!

I know I can learn a lot (I already have in the 1/2 season of owning my 1976 model)! CT (or LI is good for me).

I don't have firm plans at this point. We're currently trying to get through the busy part of our season on our feet. I'm still hanging on to a desire to come up that way before winter sets in too deeply, but failing in that, it will have to be in early spring.

Hi Don,

I've attended other workshops at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Ct. Those workshops had to do with boat wiring and electrical systems. I'm sure they'd love to have you there as I would also.

The workshop didn't happen due to a family emergency. It has not been
rescheduled as of this time.
