I finally managed to remove my old Tartan 30 shaft yeaterday to prepare to replace the cutlass bearing and the hose that connects the stuffing box to the shaft housing. I was very troupled to see how badly the shaft is damaged at bot the cutlass bearing and stuffing box section.

Since I have gone this far I might just as well do it right and replace the shaft.

Any suggestio on where to buy such a thing? Or will I need to have one custom made/

Thanks

I replaced the prop shaft on my Catalina 30 last year. The folks at DeepBlue Yacht Supply, http://www.deepblueyachtsupply.com/shaftguide.aspx, were good to work with; good technical support, decent price and quick TAT.
