Starting A4 in Garage

I removed my engine from my Columbia 8.3 last fall to replace the reversing gear. I have replaced the reversing gear and now I want to test it out. The engine is in my garage. I have seen youtube videos of people running their A4's out of the boat but I have not found any info on how exactly to connect the battery to the engine. Can someone let me know which leads connect to the starter/coil?
