I noticed that the visible section of my plugs are beginning to turn a "whiteish" color. Any suggestions to why this could be happening. The motor runs super and sounds great. I'm just a little nervious about this discoloration since the plugs are all new...

By visible portion do you mean the steel body of the plug? If so, I would expect it to be dried salt deposits if you're in salt water. You can get some salt atmosphere condensation and then the warm engine dries it out, leaving salt behind. If you're examining the internal electrode, "whiteish" might mean a lean mixture, although if your definition of whitish is closer to grey, the mixture is probably right where it's supposed to be.

Jim,

I did mean the visible portion of the plug (steel body). I am in salt water but never tried to wipe off the deposits. I'm not sure that will do the trick though. The #1 plug seems to be whiter then the other three leading me to believe that it was generated by some sort of excessive heat. It may be nothing...

Thanks again Jim.
