Last year I purchased a re-build kit from your company and had a small motor mechanic rebuild the carb. Last week when I went to the boat, strong smell of gasoline. Bildge had two inches of standing gasoline.

Carb was dripping gas from the flame arrestor area, choke area. It really looks like the gas is coming out of the connections between the flame arrestor and the the carburetor.

Is the float stuck in the open position? The engine has been purring like a kitten after the carb rebuild. with no problems and no gas leak.

Any suggestions?

To have that amount of gasoline leak through your carburetor, the float valve was definitely stuck open (probably with a small piece of crud). More importantly, the fuel also apparently leaked past your manual fuel shut-off valve.

The leaky float valve can probably be repaired by a good cleaning, and if you haven't already done so, the installation of a good filter. We like to see a 10 micron primary filter with a water separator and a small inline 1 or 2 micron filter just before the carburetor to serve as a secondary or polishing filter.

I would also recommend keeping your manual fuel shut-off valve closed while you're not on the boat.
