Recently purchased a boat with an atomic-4 engine. The engine is identical to the one on your home page except for say ten to fifteen years of neglect. There is A LOT of rust everywhere.

She starts and runs ok most times with some coughing and whezzing, but all systems appear to be working. I've changed the plugs, oil, fuel filters and alt. belt I can not find a oil filter. Is there one? What else can I do to bring this engine back from the brink?

The coughing and wheezing is consistent with a lean fuel mixture. You might benefit from cleaning the carburetor, especially the main jet. Until you clean the carburetor, I wouldn't order anything but the main bowl gasket. If the carburetor has not been apart for many years, the old main bowl gasket usually self-destructs.

There's no oil filter on the Atomic 4.
