I started using Lucas Oil Stablizer in my car after reading that most engine wear occurs during dry start-ups. I use my boat engine only a couple of times per month..sometimes I don't use it for several months in a row. The Lucas web page says "Your motor home sits for extended periods between trips. This also applies to farm or construction equipment, boats, or any other vehicle with long periods of non-use.. With Lucas Oil Stabilizer installed your engine and gearboxes retain a very important lubrication coating that prevents dry start damage. Dry start damage is a major cause of wear in these vehicles. Regular oil drains into the oil pan leaving the engine unprotected. The Lucas Oil Stabilizer additive coating protects against this wear plus protects against rust and corrosion." It sounds as if it would make sense to use this product in my A4. Any problems with that idea? thanks for any info!!
