Dont know if they have a gas heater.

One of my VW buses had a not functional gas heater that was similar....

I have FWC and use a thermostat and run at 180. The reason to run cooler is to limit salt and corrosion buildup in the cooling passages.

Since you are in fresh water, I say run at 180 up to 190....
